Get outdoors and shop local!

Artist grassmarket market Edinburgh

Running an online shop is a fantastic way for small businesses to sell their products to an international audience and connect with new customers all over the world. But, this can often mean a massive increase in screen time, minimal human interaction and less time outdoors (which is not good for the waist line)!

So, here at Als Couzens Designs we take every opportunity to get out and about, working at local markets and events, so we can meet our customers face to face and get to know other local traders.

We're really lucky here in Edinburgh to be part of a fantastic community of independent traders and creative businesses who all work together to promote this fantastic city.

Come rain or shine, Als and I spend every Saturday at the Grassmarket market, alongside a range of other lovely local traders. Each week there is a plethora of stalls selling handmade gifts, local produce and delicious street food.

You can check out some of the fabulous local traders and their products at links below. We love to shout about how great they are, so please check out their websites.
